BLiTZ Advanced Power Air Cleaner

I just got itchy handed and went to LTM to retune my greddy emu. When i was there, i asked about recommending replacing my silent carbon airbox air intake too.

They recommended i get the blitz advanced power air cleaner. They says that Blitz Advanced Type Air Core-type air cleaner that has both inhalation efficiency of the "SUS POWER AIR CLEANER" and heat resistance performance of Previous "SONIC POWER AIR CLEANER" to become the Ultimate
"SUS POWER AIR CLEANER"

It features:
  • The stainless mesh filter that invents an inhalation efficiency with a high heirloom and a lacy suction sound is adopted.
  • Cooling shield with the large caliber funnel Dramatically reduces heat
  • High efficiency of offering a steady inhalation temperature is maintained by suppressing the temperature rise of the filter.
  • A large amount of air can be secured for the filter surroundings by the changeable shield structure, and a high effect is demonstrated in a momentary inhalation air increase.
  • The large caliber funnel efficiently supplies a large amount of air, and a high inhalation efficiency is achieved.

After installation, i witness a powerful low end, and it gives out a louder and bassier sound than my previous airbox. Overall the power gain is amazing, coupled with the retuning, it is a much more powerful ride.

Aevoz Portable Car Wash

Recently i chanced upon this product online, which is said to help us folks who live in HDB areas, with no direct access to a hose-to-tap. I went down to ODM Innovations to purchase the product.... oh my, i din know singapore still has such lok kok place around.

Specs wise, sounds good, 18 litres, 120 PSI.. seems like a quite okay product. And for S$159. It still seems like a reasonable buy.

But after washing with it for the first time. I got a rude shock.... i ran out of water... washing halfway through... its seems that 18 litres is not enough to wash the entire car...

Although 120 PSI is not that strong, i did find that it did a better job on my rims than if i do a pail and bucket washing on them.

Overall I like this, only when i want to wash my rims. otherwise i dun want the hassle of filling this up and dragging this air-stewardess looking gadget to my car....

Angel Eyes

I just gotten a set of angel eyes headlamps for my civic FD1 from Mcwell Ventures.

Looks wise, its definitely different the traditional lights. Looks like the BMW's headlamps.

After using for awhile in a heavy rain, the lamps started to fogged. The fog disappeared after awhile though. Based on feedback from online forums, this is a due problem with the waterproofing of the headlamps. Bad experience with Mcwell though, I went back to complaint about it. They just brush me away to say that they do not cover fogging of lamps, but at least they offered to help me get rid of it, if it was persistent.

Damage: $380 (Headlamp Unit), $50 (Installation), $95 (Phillips White Blubs)

CTR Key Cover

One of the vainest thing i have. A Civic Type R, Red Honda back key cover.

Just unscrew your original back cover, then screw the new one on.

Damage: $40

Mugen Footrest & Pedal

I was abit vain so i went to hunt down a set of matching mugen footrest and pedals for my Civic FD.

The foot rest

The pedals in the box.

They were replicas so price wise was quite comfortable with them. But actually i find that the price I paid was quite high for replicas... Well i had vain-ness in mind, so i went ahead with it anyway.

After installing it, it looks like a matching set.

Falken 452

Been using the Falken ZE912 before i changed to the Falken 452, about 2 months back. I would say the ride is much quieter when comparing the both.

Also handling is much improved. Price wise is slightly more expensive than the ZE912, and the rotation cycle is much easier as it is no longer non-symmetric.

ZMC Security Cameras

I have installed a set of cameras and recording system for about 2 months now. Initially, all was good as it was recording my rides and also able to do recording while my vehicle is stationary.

But after 1 mth of usage, i got a flat battery just after 1 night of recording. It was the start of things going downhill for my battery. I drove about 80km to recharge my battery again. About a week later, when i started my engine after a night of parking, i sense that the ignition sounding retarded. Quite obvious my battery is going to be fully discharged again.

After that time, i took note to turn off all recording whenever i parked my vehicle overnight. And now my ignition sounds OK again. This really defeats the purpose of getting a surveillance unit for my car. Anyway at present i do not get much ppl scratching on my car, touchwood... But i think i may need to turn it on once, i start getting such cases.

Also, i gotten the jump-start battery booster, in case it happens again. So many things to do to mitigate against this.

Jumpstart Battery Booster

I just bought a product recently. It is an external battery booster to jumpstart my vehicle if the battery dies.

Basically all i need to do is charge it at home every 3 - 6 mth, if i do not use it.

The great thing is that this device comes with an air compressor, which will be able to save your flat tires too.

Product Specs:
2 in 1 Jump Starter/Air Compressor/Light

900AMP Peak 400AMP Starting Power
Air Pressure: 260PSI Max
3W Working Light, Indication Light

Orange TPMS

I recently found out a very interesting product and got it installed for my car. It is able to monitor tire pressure, temperature and battery voltage.

Installation was quite easily done at a workshop, all tires have to be removed from the rims, for the sensor to be installed on each rims. Then when all tires are put back in place. just turn the device on, and u will see the pressure from each tire reflected on it.

Damage is at $250, including installation, tire balancing. I got it done at Li Hong Auto Enterprise, contacts are below. Ah Ho did a wonderful job for me, including getting the rims rash off for me.
